Nicole Birrell

With over 20 years’ experience in the veterinary industry, Nicole graduated in 1999 with a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. Since then, she went on to achieve her Diploma in Practice Management, Diploma in Leadership & Management and her Australian Veterinary Nurse and Technician (AVNAT) Registration in 2019.

With a passion for animal welfare, Nicole began her career working for the RSPCA as well as several general practice clinics around Sydney. In 2006 she joined the NSVH team as an ECC nurse, worked her way up to become our head nurse before progressing to VetPartners as an Regional Operation Manager in 2016. When VetPartners new Artarmon Hospital was built in 2019, Nicole returned to take up the role as our full-time Operations Manager and Head Nurse.

Nicole’s professional interests are Emergency & Critical Care nursing and professional development support for Veterinary Nurses. In her free time, Nicole enjoys playing water polo, running and caring for her rescue cat named Kitty Kitty.
